This mod is for chairs to use as a set of beginning guidelines. There are both procedural and substantive points that warrant attention. This list was first developed by M. Bentley on 3/30/2015.

1. Set a professional tone.
2. Take roll
3. Know the difference between "present" and "present and voting".
4. Have a written list of times for mods and unmods
5. Keep delegates focused and on topic
6. Don't pick the same delegates to speak
7. Don't be afraid to rule points and motions dilatory
8. Don't allow delegates to interrupt
9. Know when it's time to move into resolutions
10. Make sure delegates are factual
