Instructions:
1. Read your partners’ papers through once. Check off anything you do not understand or is not clear to you.
2. Read through a second time, this time with the rubric next to you. Try to see which standards apply. If you want to read through once thoroughly, then skim through once for each standard on the rubric, fine. If you want to read the rubric first, and then read the paper while trying to follow the rubric, that's fine too.
3. Remember, you are helping your partner focus her paper and get a good grade. If you don't understand something, I probably won't understand it either. If you find something that isn't sourced properly I’ll find it too. If you see something that works and you want to adapt it to your paper, SEEK PERMISSION from your partner (a very good habit to get into!) and use it.
4. We are going to conference in class date to be announced. If you are not going to be here, make arrangements to conference with your partner ahead of time. If you are sick on the conference day, it is in your partner's interest for you to arrange a meeting.
5. Remember, you are helping each other focus the paper. This is a collaboration, please take advantage of the opportunity.
