Purpose: The  Psychology course is an introduction to the study of the mental processes of people and how those processes  affect the behavior of people. Students should have an understanding of the vocabulary and concepts basic to Psychology, and can also make an informed choice whether or not they would like to pursue the descipline.

Skills: Students should learn to assess behavior using data driven methods. The class will involve hands on observation techniques and behavior analysis. Students should also learn how to write clearly and quickly, and how to make persuasive arguments based on evidence.

Students will develop and carry out a research plan that meets the standards of the most advanced high school students, and will learn how to deal with a variety of methods of assessment.

Objectives: Are at the beginning of each syllabus
